Dwindling junta defections pose challenge for Myanmar opposition

Defections are a key part of opposition strategy, while the junta works to stop troops from switching sides. The NUG claimed that by the end of February, 12,327 members of the security forces, 3,236 soldiers and 9,091 policemen had joined the program.
