U.S. 'nonlethal' aid for Myanmar's ethnic armies likely to backfire
It is an appropriate time then to assess Western support for Myanmar's resistance. The conflict has strengthened ethnic armed groups, many of which were formed decades ago and are more ethnonationalist than democratic.
